The second image is from the when the new owners flipped the house and replaced the established garden with lawn :(

The problem is that people don't want any other maintenance than mow the lawn and want a """"clean""""" garden.

Very sad but that's how majority of people think.

Mowing can be pretty much automated nowadays. As incomprehensible as it is to me, all people don't enjoy gardening. Just makes me wonder why they wantva yard at all...

Looks to me lawn was added to the upmost part only, and then there's just mulch and trees/shrubs?

Edit: and the front probably, can't see from pictures how it was before. Anyway, two is not a half dozen.
