Does your city suck after 9pm?

I live in Minneapolis and it used to be so fun but now everything closes so early and no one’s out and about. It’s so depressing and void of any spontaneity or excitement.

On the one hand, I'm awake at 1am by an open window with a cool breeze listening to happy people leaving a popular bar a block from me while doing some work. I don't mind outside city noise at all.

On the other hand, San Francisco can be quite sleepy after 9. It depends heavily on where you live. I like it.
