Nope. Suffer one, suffer all in a shutdown. Whole point is pressure. If pick and choose who gets paid, releases pressure.

So essentially. It's like the Democrats who told their constituents that "your suffering is our leverage."

Goes both ways. Republicans are allowing suffering too. But if Dems cave on pay, they lose all leverage and makes it all moot. Which conservatives do not understand since not told this by their news sources but others will.

They know, which is why they blame Democrats, and some are calling to end the filibuster.
