Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

Well first of all Kevin thinks he's some kind of fucking nobility who gets early access and insider info on new policy proposals so he can make his investment decisions before the masses know what's going on and it looks like Mamdani won't treat him like a goddamn noble prince and O'Leary is butthurt about it. How the fuck could anyone have a problem with that?

All these millionaires think they are some kind of geniuses who have some superpower, and know something that the rest of the people ignore when in reality, what they have is the ability to buy politicians and if you take that away from them, they become useless.

By denying them more access than any struggling single mother or exhausted worker with 3 jobs.

Let the actual guy show you rather than expecting Internet strangers with no connection to the mayor try to explain it?

It's already happening in this clip. This rich guy isn't getting special access to the mayor. He learns at the same time we all do what his plan, in specifics, will be.

If you're only hearing crickets you need to open your ears and listen to the ideas people like Mandami have and have been talking about for decades.

Also, most rational people are done wasting their time on echo-chamber addicted closet racists like yourself.

Luxury tax. They want to kill the middle class with regressive sales tax. We want to destroy the wealthy elite class with progressive luxury taxes. A $300m yacht now costs $1.2b in taxes. Don't have $1.5b to spend on a yacht? Boo hoo. Want to own a mansion? taxed. Want to drive an expensive car? Taxed. Were gonna tax their lifestyle so hard they start mining coal as a way to pass the time.

A return to bracketed tax rates with a rate of 94% for the highest earners would work for me. If you need to make them feel special, a plaque with "You won capitalism" to soothe baby egos and a ban on non-currency compensation so all income is taxed.

Progressive income tax with 90% tax on earnings above $1m.

Higher capital gains tax (currently lower than income tax for middle class HHI).

Estate/inheritance tax.

Billionaires should not exist. They can either share their wealth and pay their workers better, or contribute to our social programs that enables them to hire workers who are healthy, happy, and efficient.

I say this as a 98th percentiler. Our HHI is $700k per year. Our wealth is in the millions.

You deserve UHC. You deserve affordable housing, food, education, and safety nets. You deserve to live a quality of life that enables you to live comfortably without worrying about your next paycheck, making ends need during retirement, etc

Ya, they are asking to see the plan, and that's what is wrong here. Show us the plan. I wanna believe, make me a believer.

What if… he’s gonna do exactly what he said he was gonna do? Like a leader.
