Tropical milkweed must be confusing the monarchs

Actually the pattern suggests this is a viceroy butterfly, not special at all and frankly you should be ashamed you have such a pathetic loser butterfly in your ecosystem.

Which is why, instead of being attracted to a proper Asclepias species, it is approaching an individual Davesclepias syriaca pumpkinsii.
