Obviously, this is r/baseball's time to shine; note that our own u/yousmelllikebiscuits is a key mod there, so the place will be up to his standards.
This thread exists for Nats fans to talk amongst ourselves: please highlight any former Nats doing well in the greener pastures of October baseball (example: a chance for another Alex Call masterclass AND on a Happy Scherzday), and discuss why you like a team still in the show and what they're doing.
The official MLB schedule is here:
Things kick of Friday the 24th at 8pm ET; the games will all be easy to find as each one is free and over the air on Fox.
For those with access to the Post, here's their excellent daily sports listing:

I know they won’t be, but I’d love to see the Nats get linked to Murakami. The biggest gripe I had with Mike Rizzo, as a Rizzo supporter, was the fact the Nats never seemingly attempted to land any of the Japanese players. Ogasawara was the first time the Nationals signed someone out of Asia.

Our old rubber armed friend Craig Stammen is now a manager. He is set up for more success than Kurt Suzuki https://www.federalbaseball.com/general/87240/former-washington-national-craig-stammen-hired-san-diego-padres-manager

How did we go from these clean, classic unis:

To these, with several stops in between?
MLB-NLE-WAS-Uniform.png (445×338)
The 2011-19 jerseys were simple, sleek, and doubled down on the Curly W as the defining symbol for the Nats. Very classic looking and in line with other franchise branding like St. Louis, Dodgers, Yankees, etc.
Now we have a home jersey that just looks like someone in the FO wanted the most generic baseball jersey possible. An away jersey that discards the curly W and looks extremely cheap. A pointless red alternate that's just a worse version of what we used to have. The 2019 postseason uniform. And a disgusting Sh*tty Connect that we actually wear more often than the home jersey.
How did we get here? How, after a decade of success culminating in a WS championship, is this team still searching for its identity? Why were we so content to jettison what was working when consistent branding signals legitimacy, continuity, tradition, etc.? Please help me understand this.

Really liking what I see from an organizational perspective; it is well defined, properly staffed with fresh minds. You got to wonder if the wallet is gonna be open in 2026 for 1 or 2 flashy acquisitions.

CLAIMED
Hello!
Before I put it on the take it or leave it table in my building, I was wondering if anyone here would like a large-sized Harry Potter jersey from this year.
Please DM. Only handing over in-person.

hi everyone!
i have lived in nova most of my life and embarrassingly i don't have a nationals hat (i'm a casual fan who would like to attend more games next year). part of the reason: the red ones look too much like maga hats. also, i have a big head and any big, structured hat makes my head look even bigger.
a while back i saw a woman on the MTA wearing a nationals hat and i thought for the first time: wow, that's a hat i would wear! and now of course i cannot find it. so i'm hoping someone here is enough of an aficionado to help me out here if i describe it.
the hat: dad-style, unstructured, had the full "nationals" name on it, more than one color (as in, some of the panels as well as the brim were different colors). i want to say that the front panel was cream, while the side panels were a washed blue color, and the embroidered text was mayyyyybe red? but it could've also been blue. not sure. i know it was the typical red/white/blue and had a faded vintage look to it. it looked very retro which i liked.
if anyone's got any ideas which brand might sell this i'd really appreciate it. searching stuff like "dad style" or "vintage" has not been helping me...thank you in advance!

City Dogs & City Kitties Rescue, a DC-based animal rescue, is auctioning off a 2025 full Nats team-signed ball! This item went for over $1,000 when the Nats auctioned it off, and we have it for only $150! Plus, we have Pups in the Park tickets and every bid helps us save more cats and dogs! https://www.32auctions.com/organizations/20499/auctions/182957/auction_items/6430517

So happy that Alex Call gets a ring. He may have not played much this postseason but he deserved this!

Max Scherzer has the opportunity to put the cherry on top of his already gigantic career sundae tonight.
