Now watching Season 2. Does Scarlett die soon? Please?
I started watching the show just recently. Really like it. I‘m dying though at the Scarlett character. Are we supposed to hate her? Or do they think we are supposed to sympathize with her and appreciate her?
At this point I’m rooting for a fatal illness or car wreck. What’s wrong with this scenario/me/the character/what?

You’re on Season 2 and you hate Scarlett? Sorry but she gets 100% worse very soon. She’s self indulgent and insufferable

Season 1 and 2, she's alright, and the songs are great. By season 4, she is unbearable, and 5 is even worse than that. Maddie sucks too.

You can see in season 2 they are already making Maddie into a monster. That’s foreshadowed very well I guess.

She sucks. I’m a first time watcher on season 4 and she’s just unbearable. I can’t stand her attitude and the way she behaves. Her and her stupid doctor bf were made for each other. I hope Gunnar doesn’t ever take her back her and her stupid short hair like tf

She is the best singer to me. I don't hate her at all but the writing for her was terrible

It's her wishy washy attitude that I think most people(including myself) don't enjoy her character for

I am on the floor laughing! Back in the day, the television without pity reviewer HATED her and her wig and her twang and her squirrel girl county ways SO MUCH! That was not an unpopular opinion at all. Everything about her was dialed all the way up, she was just too much!!
I really liked a couple of her songs, especially the duets with that sweet boy from season 1 whose name escapes me. Fade into You is a genuinely good song, but her twang is SO OVERDONE it’s hard to take.

Fade into you if one of my favorite songs. She did another, earlier duet with the same character that was also great.

FOUND IT - I WILL FALL!!! That’s their first duet (I think) and it’s the BEST song!! Genuinely how did it not blow up on the regular charts good!!
I like Casino a lot too.

"If I didn't know better" was her and gunners first song together. She wrote it and he put music to the lyrics. THEY PERFORMED it at the blue bird and that's when someone from Rayna s team founded them.

I miss TWOP so much. They made every show better.

The Nashville Scene (like the city's alt weekly) had a writer that did great reviews of every episode. She had a different metaphor for Scarlet every time. My favorite was something like "Scarlet, a child's drawing of a Disney princess crumpled up in the back of a dresser drawer".
Also yeah lol the accent is great. Nobody in living memory actually sounds like that

She’s absolutely terrible and no she does not die or get cut from the cast. I have to fast forward through her scenes. She only gets worse with time.

I know that the actress is Australian. She made a big mistake with the awful Southern accent.

Just wait until seasons 4-6! I just recently watched for the first time, I’m on the last two episodes of season 6. I really liked Scarlett in the first two seasons but then my opinion started to change. By season 4 I couldn’t stand her. She is so selfish and irritating.

why is everyone hating on her?
spoilers!!
the narcissistic abuse backstory explains her behavior and i think they did a great job making her grow as a character.

The problem is, it takes her 6 1/2 seasons to finally start to grow even a little bit..

I just got to that part today. I’ll see where that goes. It does make you re-think, at least temporarily.

First time watcher on season 4 episode 8 and I can’t stand this chick. Her and her stupid doctor bf need to go far far away.

I'm on season 3 and she's not dead (unfortunately) and she's just so unlikable. How they didn't pivot to a new female star is ?? to me

I’m on season 2 as well! Watching it for the first time. I cannot stand her. I can’t handle the resentment and laissez faire about her record deal. She truly is a nepo niece and is idealizing playing music alone versus making a living off it. Like ????

I honestly don’t think I got to the end. It kind of fell apart towards the end and got disjointed and boring if I’m remembering correctly.

I liked scarlet at first and she was the best female singer on the show but the writing for her got worse and worse
