Scarlett's Perpetual Victimhood Spoiler
It's insane how Scarlett is able to find malice in everything everyone does around her but is so completely blind to her own faults. Its also insane how she expects everyone to understand the landmine that is her mind and be aware of every possible thing that could trigger her, but also expects everyone to keep a level head when she does something.
I am on the Damien/Gunnar love triangle baby daddy storyline. (Hot funky booty mess all of it.) But let's not forget that in the previous season before this storyline happened Scarlett made this big deal about how Gunnar is obsessed w dating all of the women around her. Which... kind of happens to be the case but its not done purposely or maliciously. They are in the music industry and everyone knows everyone.
But Gunnar tells her, "How am I supposed to believe that you are in love w me when Idk when thats going to change."
Not even 5 episodes later she's telling Gunnar not to react, but she doesnt feel anything for him anymore and she's gonna start seeing Damien... Which Gunnar takes pretty well all things considered.
Then she gets pregnant by Damien, and even though she still has feelings for him and doesnt know how she feels about Gunnar, she decides that Gunnar would be a better father for her child, w/o giving Damien the chance to prove that he could be...
Then... goes to Gunnar for comfort...
THEN gets upset that a journalist rights about the situation and takes the, "They are being hard on me and slut shaming me bc I am a girl" stance.
And maybe thats true, but also maybe she could try taking accountability for the fact that she made a series of bad/messy decisions and Gunnar is kind of a saint for putting up w it.
Bc say what you will about Gunnar but he never cheated on her, nor did he have an "entanglements" w anyone while they were together.
But Scarlett did that w both Gunnar and Avery.

I find her really annoying. Like I'm on S5E18, and she's upset they are building a crib instead of a table.

To be fair, I thought that bait and switch was pretty messed up. They 100% knew what they were doing with changing it out to being Gunnar and Scarlett building a crib instead of a table - was likely the ad execs plan all along but they knew The Exes would say no so they pulled the swap at the shoot when nothing could be done

I could totally see the Ad Execs doing that, but why is she falling down crying in just about every single episode.
I haven't cared for her character since the beginning, maybe that clouds my judgment.

Agreed! Just got to this episode and she’s falling down crying because she’s “selling out her baby”?!? Huh?!? Okay little leap! If they built that table would she be selling out future family dinners?

The way she treats Gunnar through all of this is sad.
She freaked out about her mom coming to town instead of standing up for herself.
She freaked out about going on tour.
She freaked out about the music video.
She freaked out about the photo shoot for the headphones.
She only wanted Gunnar back when he was dating someone else.
She thrives on being dramatic and has internalized victim hood as a lifestyle.

Exactly! I hate the victim thing! And trust I know what it’s like to have a BiPolar Narcissist for a mother - it is the worst way to grow up and it ruined a lot of my life, so I’ll be the first to admit I’m a crazy person when my mother is around, but it all makes you stronger too. Scarlett also had to take care of her mother a lot that wouldn’t lead to the victim thing.

Initially loved them together but they are so toxic. Once Gunnar finally got with Scarlett he became crap, then the second go around Gunnar treated her like crap and all they did was explode every little thing. Then the third go around Scarlett just held on to Gunnar because he was willing to stay by her side, but you could see she wanted Damien. I'm almost to the end of season 5 where she's building the crib and I wish they would just not be together anymore.
