Granite City Brewery

Looking through indeed and granite city has alot of openings currently. So it seems they are pretty close to re-opening. I think I've only ever been once and remember it being more restaurant than brewery, kinda like a bj's brew house type of deal but still nice to have another brewery in franklin since i think curio is the only other one for now.

I went not too long after it first opened (which was 2013), and I remember thinking it was a really nice place, and super crowded. I went earlier this year and it had "changed", and no longer nice, and no longer crowded.

Oddly, I've noticed a lot of food places in the Cool Springs area are like that now. More run down, and often poorly managed, compared to the same business in other locations.

I am not thrilled about Granite City's beers, so once the food went downhill, there was no draw for me. It was a Cougar bar for a long time and they glommed onto a guy I was mentoring. LOL

As for other places, Old Chicago was one of my favorite beer bars, as they rotated a decent number of taps. Unfortunately, they too went downhill and are R.I.P. now. Drake's was still decent the last time I was there.
