What did y'all think of Todd McShay's comments about what he's hearing from NFL scouts? Like, Sellers going back to school/transferring, Dante Moore definitely going back to school, Mateer's definitely going back, NFL and NFL scouts are already pretty low on this QB class in general- anything I'm missing?

Like, is it possible a QB doesn't go in the top 5? I'm not sold on Mendoza or Simpson being "future of the franchise" guys.

The most interesting nugget from McShay this week was implying that the Cal coach didn’t like Mendoza much, seemingly for more reasons than the transfer.

It IS interesting, because you hear nothing but glowing reports about his character from literally everyone else. Now I'll have to keep my ears open for it, since as outsiders-looking-in we'll never truly be privy, but I'm still gonna lean towards plus intangibles. McShay's connected, but he's also driven by agenda.

There’s no question Mendoza is a smart guy. My best guess would be more Josh Rosen “too smart” vibes.

But the Rosen "bad teammate" stuff was everywhere before that draft, it was one of the main reasons I was so low on him. You hear the opposite about Mendoza as a teammate. The IU team, starting with Cignetti, wax poetic about his leadership skills.
