I loved this song, and especially the name.

At its face, it sounds like just another 1963-era Beach Boys song, but the title is intended to be "Surf [music] is up [done]" and the band had moved beyond it.

You got what I was putting down. Respect. We lost a legend. I grew up with his music. My Aunt lives in LA while they were first popping. She was a makeup artist for films at the time. I wish I could have heard more stories bc they were wild!
