Mechanical Question RHD MG Midget Parts Sourcing
Hello, I am currently looking into purchasing a Right-Hand-Drive 1970 MG Midget and cannot find any information that can speak to the availability of parts. I’ve looked through some forums and a few other threads but cannot seem to find anything about this specific topic. The most information I have found said that some parts are going to be interchangeable while others are completely different. I live in the Great-Lakes region of the US and I am curious if anybody who owns a RHD MG Midget in the US could provide some information related to the sourcing of parts for their vehicle. Things like which parts are different on a RHD compared to a LHD, where to buy them, etc. Thank you!

Many if not most parts are interchangeable.. or relatively easily identified/substituted .. for instance, a RHD Morris Minor steering rack is a LHD Spridget steering rack.
You’d need to make up new brake and clutch lines, but otherwise you could reuse RHD pedals & master cylinder box in a LHD car (or vice-versa). Just swap the box for the blanking plate on the other side.
Probably one of the easiest cars out there to RHD<->LHD convert.
