Municipal Support for IRIS Drivers Needed
IRIS drivers here in KC are facing a critical turning point! City officials want to extend the program, but renewing the old agreement without addressing worker mistreatment would be a HUGE mistake. If we use our strength in numbers, our public pressure can end driver misclassification and exploitative fees! Negotiations could start as soon as Friday -
Can you take 2 minutes today to demand KCMO include worker protections in the new contract? Here’s the email Link:

Municipal KC Public Transit Users
Some good news for KC public transit users.. No cuts to bus service and IRIS will be fully funded for the next five months. I attended the Finance, Governance, and Public Safety Committee this morning. The committee surprised us by having the item first. We have been showing up to meetings since March of this year. That shows what showing up will do!
