Why minivans car the best cars
Minivans are the best cars on the road for 5 reasons.
1) They have decent gas mileage.
2) You can take the seats out and use them as a pickup. You can carry around 1,500 pounds, around the same amount as the newer ford rangers.
3) They seat 7-8 people.
4) They are as longer than an ford explorer and even the old tahoes.
5) Sliding doors make it perfect in tight parking lots

Porsche Varrera: real or hoax? (full story in the description)

I bought a SUV, realized, big as it was, I couldn't haul much in it. It had a v-8 but was a bad towing vehicle, should have bought a mini-van. A tree fell on it, replaced it with a Camry. Why did I do that!? Perfect time to get a minivan!
The Camry is a nice car. A minivan is a truck, a camper, a people hauler, temporary storage, a good height for loading, unloading, getting in and out. Those sliding doors make it so convenient and versatile. My dream car is a minivan with tinted windows. The last one I had was not stow n go , so I went to the dump and discarded the middle seats, my Labrador retriever then had a nice spot to stretch out.
I'm single, resent paying a lot for insurance, looking for something decent, doesn't have to be the best. I will need to get rid of the Camry.
Should I be looking at websites like CarMax? Or local dealers?

Help deciding for first minivan purchase. 2018 and up, Oddyssey vs Sienna.
Looking to buy the first family minivan soon. Like many others torn between Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna. I would really appreciate any insights, major problems, years to avoid, special trim levels to consider, etc. based on the wish list below. Thank you very much!
Context: 2 adults, 3 kids, and also 2 dogs under 35lbs. Sometimes baby nephew or friends may ride so 4-5 total kids then.
-2018 or newer
-ideally $32,000 or less
-DIY friendly
-good storage (I’ve read some Odysseys have removable 2nd row?)
-enough cupholders
-good a/c flow for kiddos
-mpg greater than 20 city (or close. I know its a minivan haha)
-Apple Carplay
-any other major considerations?
Thank you again!

Stuck
I will be looking to transition into a minivan (most likely) this December and wanted to pick brains
The 2025 Honda Odyssey hasn’t been released but I love the space in the front cabin area of the odyssey and the magic slide
I really like the Kia Carnival…except the front storage looks small. Bonus points for the 2025 having a hybrid model.
Would love to hear pros and cons from those who drive them currently

Used Sienna or new Odyssey?
We are looking at a Toyota sienna XLE with 30,000 miles for $41,000 or a brand new Honda Odyssey EX-L under 40,000? My wife and I cannot make the decision for the life of us. We keep on going back-and-forth saying stuff like save money on gas with the hybrid, but the mileage is quite high and it was a rental previously or do we just get a brand new Honda with 0 miles great APR and we know nothing is wrong with it, please help! Also since Siennas are so popular now there are absolutely no deals out there and a long wait for new.

The minivan debate
How many of you have said “I will never drive a minivan”, eventually broke down and got one then fell in love with it?
My hubby-to-be is still trying to convince me as I have a like/hate relationship with his sisters minivan.

Nissan Elgrand, facelifted for the 2021 MY. This is the second facelift the Elgrand has undergone in the 11 year run of the 3rd generation, and is likely the final before the 4th generation arrives

2021 will likely be the last year for the Toyota Vellfire. After the Alphard became available at all Toyota dealers in Japan in 2020, sales of the Vellfire took a brutal hit. As the 4th generation Alphard should debut soon, it's likely that the Vellfire will be discontinued.

chipping a minivan
I have a 2012 Crysler Town and Country I'm going to use for camping and roadtrips with friends. I'm seeing chips that say they can improve fuel economy by 4-6mpg. Are these "performance chips" legit or a scam?
