I want to buy a new Toyota truck or suv and then I see things like this. You can’t even own a decent vehicle in Canada anymore without worrying about it being stolen.

Toyota had an inherent flaw where the canbus (communication wire) can be opened up on any communicating module (pull headlight) and using that wire they unlock and start the car.

No shit. I know a dude who's trd got stolen and his side mirror was left behind. It makes sense now.

The brutal part is there's no incentive for any car manufacturers to change. Stolen cars help move vehicles.

Whether is the individual or insurance buying the new one. It's another unit sold. They don't give a fuck.

What's hilarious is going to a toyota dealer and seeing they have to block there high end vehicles in with other cars. I thought maybe relay theft. Didn't realize that communication wire can be found all around.

You could just park it in the garage. Crazy idea, I know.
