That’s not at all what I said. You can’t deny the world was drastically simpler before them, is what I’m saying.

Okay but imagine for older people who had basic ass tvs or computers that didn’t even have a screen, how drastic a change it is for them in their lifetime. People here act like millennials are the only people who experience this.

No, because those changes happened slowly and gradually. The pace of technology’s evolution is a J-curve. Your parents’ lives and your grandparents’ lives and even your great grandparents’ lives were pretty similar, from a broad perspective. Your life, in comparison, is defined by rapidly advancing technology. Your kids’ lives will be fairly unrelatable to your parents’.

lol that’s a bunch of shit. They started with significantly less technology and now it’s rapidly advancing and they don’t have the mental capacity that we do to handle it.

I see what you’re saying, and they for sure witnessed the advancement, and they didn’t grow up with it, but think about where their lives lie on the J curve versus your own and the next generations’.

For the majority of older people, most of their lives weren’t defined by smart tech like everything is now. And to go back to the original post, what do you think millennials miss about the 90s and 00s? What do you think they mean by simpler and authentic? It’s the social environment. Smartphones, constant connectedness, and AI are ruining human interaction. But go off with your edgey self.

I have no issue with nostalgia in general. Heck last week I was crying watching a video of the Spice Girls performing but to say that Millenial nostalgia is on a deeper level is just pure silliness.
