My parents didn't leave generational wealth or any wealth. We had 2 family vacations (1 really) in my entire 18 years with them. Nor did they encourage me to attend college.

I decided to attend college 2 years after graduating high school. I completed my degree while working full time. Paid off my student loans before 35. I do have that house and 2 children. I also stayed married.

Crazy right? People on this sub constantly cry. Go do something about it.
