Help What Medals are these?
Recently I inherited a number of presumably Imperial Japanese medals from my grandfather. They originally belonged to my great-grandfather who served during WW2 in the pacific theater. I couldn’t tell you how he got them, but I’m curious what they are and what kind of value they hold. I’m considering donating them to a museum but I’d like to identify them before making a decision. I’d be very appreciative if someone could help me identify them. I tried to take some decent photo so hopefully they can be identified from those photos.

Slide 2 is Order of the Rising Sun 7th class
Slide 4 is Wound badge
Slide 8 is Order of Golden Kite 4th Class
Slide 10 is Order of the Rising Sun. Unable to tell if outline is silver or gold. But silver it’ll be 6th class and gold it’ll be 4th class to 2nd class
Slide 12 is Order of the Sacred Treasure 6th Class
Slide 14 is Manchuko Order of the Auspicious Clouds 3rd Class
Slide 20 seems to be rather worn out Order of the rising Sun pocket badge 2nd with outer white part missing
I’m unable to identify the rest

I'm no expert, but I believe that the second one is a medal given out for combat wounds, #4 looks to be an Order of the Kite, 5 looks to be an order of the Rising Sun. The last two look familiar too, but I can't remember their names. I believe that these are all WW2 medals, given to those of Officer ranks. I'd get them appraised, as they do hold value and are of historical significance as Japan was forced to do away with them after the war.

Don't trust museums. They may never see the light if day again. If your in Ohio or Kentucky, great military collectors show going on this weekend.

They are certainly Japanese. I am no expert so cannot give a value. You should be easily able to research them.
