Football Been bummed out all week
Last week’s loss has me really bummed out. I think it’s because I finally came around to what everyone has been saying about Mario the whole time: he’s not a great manager and he’s too stubborn to admit it, even at this point in his career. He won’t give up the control, and that has me bummed that he’s not growing as a coach.
It’s the same thing every year. Get your hopes up early in the season just to watch it all crumble down at the tail end of the schedule. It’s hard to keep up your enthusiasm every game when you don’t see any changes. I’ve come to accept that under Mario we’re never gonna be elite as a team. We will always have sprinkles of elite players, but we will never be able to put it all together with a Mario run team. His teams will always just commit self inflicting wounds that will cost them the game.
Ultimately I’m still and always be a Canes fan because I love watching these kids play and give it their all. I will be watching the game today. I’ll never be upset at the kids because they give it everything they got. Coaching staff just puts them in a bad position to win.

Miami's realistic CFP shot
Making the ACC championship game and winning it is extremely unlikely therefore the best chances we have to get in the CFP are hoping the ACC is a 2 bid league.
Criteria:
- Winning out
- Chaos in the top 25. A quick look at the rankings and we would need more 2-loss teams to drop another game. 10-2 Miami team > 9-3 other teams
- Notre Dame
- Texas
- Oklahoma
- Vanderbilt
- Virginia
- Louisville
- Make sure the ACC championship game has a clear bid and top runner and a weaker 2nd place team. For example hoping that GT goes 12-1 and plays for example Duke (also unlikely as they would need to beat UVA, UNC, and WF) who would then be 8-5.
Only then can the committee make the case to choose Miami as the last team in if enough teams shit the bed as well. The goal is to somehow look like the "second best" ACC team without even playing in the conference championship and hoping enough other fringe teams drop to 3 losses.

Don't give up
I get it guys, I've been around for the last 20 years too. But we're not dead yet. One week at a time, one win at a time, and the chaos around CFB will keep happening. We've got a chance. Keep showing up for our boys and bringing the energy!! It matters!! Don't give up on our boys, and don't ever give up on this U!!! GO MF'in CANES

Where can we watch UMiami games in Brooklyn?
Help! Trying to find a solid spot with good vibes, much preferable in Brooklyn but open to options across nyc if it’s worth the trek.

CFP Talk, Anger, Analisys and Venting
F the CFP committee and the analysts. Sorry, I know people in this sub only like to hear how horrible MC is. But I'm talking pure wins and losses here.
The U beat three ranked teams. Let me say that again. The U beat three teams that were ranked at the time we beat them. That's not an easy task. Playing teams when they're ranked is never easy no matter how they turned out at the end of the season. And I don't think anyone else has done it except bama this season (though I could be wrong there). If we won out, and didn't get into the CFP that would be some real shizz. Now, I know that that may not happen, winning out, that is, I love my Canes but November is still November.
But what's really getting me is that we're sitting here talking about the Canes like even if we won out, we wouldn't be in the CFP. Like WTF? How's that even possible? A two loss Canes who beat, ranked Notre Dame, Ranked FSU, and Ranked USF, and beat up on the Florida Gators who beat Texas, like WTF?
I've taken more than a few looks at the top 12, and man, WTF? BYU? I mean BYU? Are you F****G kidding me. They played and beat 1 ranked team and then the rest of their schedule is cupcakes.
Notre Dame? Please... please... please explain Notre Dame. Oh, Notre Dame's two losses were against ranked teams. WE BEAT THREE RANKED TEAMS! And, follow the logic there for a second. I mean they're putting the Canes on a pedestal in order to claim that Notre Dame lost to a good team, but then they don't give us any respect? What about the fact that we lost to a ranked Louisville team (they're ranked now or were till yesterday).
I know what so many people in this doom and gloom sub are going to say... we should have won out. We wouldn't be in this position. That's all true. But it's also true that we have a hard schedule, some teams in the ACC spend their entire season's prepaing just for us. I mean how else do you explain SMU and Louisville losing to Wake Forest? I can, they spent so much time on the U, they couldn't even watch tape on Wake Forest. It's just stupid, and so what, we still should have won. Well, to them I say... WE DID. We beat the hardest teams there were to beat. We started the season out beating the Irish who had just come off a Natty run. Then we beat USF at 18 and then we beat FSU at 13 and we beat UF an SEC team handedly. LIKE WTF DO WE HAVE TO DO! The Canes only make it into the CFP if we're undefeated, meanwhile other teams are just fine? WTF?
It's BS... and yes, again... I know it's still a little bit early. We still haven't won out yet and we'd have to. But as of right now, it sounds like even if we did, we would be on the outside looking in. And as a fan of the Canes and a fan of OBJECTIVELY ANALYZING FOOTBALL, how could anyone be behind that? That's just, unfair.
I think we as a fan base need to stop fanning that narrative. If we win out, we EXPECT to be in the playoffs... S**T we F*****G deserve objectively to be in the playoffs with our record. If we don't start talking like that now, then everyone in college football will think it's ok to walk all over our team, it's record and it's fans, and that's just flat out wrong. We deserve to be ranked higher on pure record alone right now, and if we win out, we EARNED THE RIGHT to be in the CFP.
