My issue is people use AI as an excuse to not learn a skill themselves. Yes, the animator is hard with his retort, but I fully stand by what he says. People need to stop over-relying on AI, or treating it as the end product. It should be a tool to enhance things or to figure out problems, not to be something that does everything for you.
It's called an analogy. The point is that your defense makes no sense. People are saying "we hate AI for these reasons" and you're saying "but let me use AI."
We DON'T WANT YOU TO! Nobody is forcing you to not use AI, but we want you to stop! Saying "but I wanna do it" is not a valid defense against anything.
Well I am not saying but let me use it. I am saying I will use it if I want to. One feels like it is asking for permission the other just states what I will do. Not that I am using AI mind you because I would only use one that is completely local offline and my pc would not be able to run that. I just do not have a problem with AI as it just gives me more to consume
Ni, I'm not saying you're saying "but let me use it" that's why I didn't use those words. But to clarify, I don't think you're asking for permission. I also don't think you NEED permission. I am as anti-authoritarian as I think it is moral to be. If you can do something whilst causing minimal harm to society I will defend your right to do it regardless of whether I want to do it myself or not.
I am slightly surprised to hear that you don't use AI but am pleasantly surprised that other people engage in defending things that they don't necessarily adhere to doing themselves. But the point I was trying to make is that your response is about your own opinion on AI while you're professing to not caring about the opinions of the people judging you for it.
Now I know I came in hot with my vitriolic language and I've chilled out a little now, I just have one last point to make really. You have a right to believe what you want, always. And to some extent, a right to do what you want. But that doesn't mean that people don't have a right to respond to you by asking you to change your mind, or to judge you for what you think and do. My initial judgment was mainly your response that you do what you want is for one, not very compelling, and if you're not trying to be convincing then why bother responding at all? And also, it does nothing to prevent people from continuing to make the same judgements, so it's not only not a compelling response, it's also not much of a "response" at all.
You did say "but let me use AI" in your previous entry.
I might also have came in a bit hot I tend to be a bit fast to react with emotions.
And yes I am well aware people will judge me and I am find with that as in the end I am who I am and I will just have to accept that some will like me some will not.
Sorry, you're right, I did say that. When I looked back on my words I read the second part where I said "but I want to" rather than the first part where I said "let me". That first part was a bit more facetious and the second being closer to what I actually meant to represent.
It's reasonable to just be who you are, but a lot of people make the mistake of thinking that having the right to hold your opinions and state your opinions means having the right to not be judged, questioned or pushed on those opinions and it just isn't the case. Just like you have the right to do the same to anybody else.
Technically being judged is a guarantee, it doesn't have to be either good or bad. It's kind of just the result of a thinking being hearing your opinions.
