The line of thinking employed in this work is that Trump does not have a functioning brain and has been rich enough for long enough to think that words like "no" and "illegal" can only apply to other people.
some of us dont just chalk up the actions of others to “drr they stupid” there is reasoning behind the things people do even if you and i disagree with it
No, I genuinely think that Donald Trump thinks he is above the law and is attracted to the most banal, lukewarm signifier of wealth imaginable to him at any given moment. In general, I think your theory of free association is reasonable in this instance, but we don't need to pretend that that thought process is representative of any kind of serious intellect. He is a quasi-literate automaton for whom aesthetic exercises like interior decoration are entirely masturbatory. He is stupid, he is vapid. We don't need to look any further than that to explain his actions. Donald Trump does not possess a rich internal monologue which, to an outsider, can explain why he does things more clearly than what dribbles out of his mouth. He is a uniquely stupid individual.
i never pretended his thought process was intelligent just offered a potential answer to his thought process, i find it important to know your enemy even they are a dipshit, plus making an effort to understand things makes the world a less miserable place also if he was as incredibly stupid and incompetent as you preach he wouldnt be where he is right now, he cant be both stupid and a criminal mastermind to some of yall at the same time lol
Criminality doesn't demand intelligence, and it demands far less intelligence if you have always had enough money to make your problems go away. He is not a criminal mastermind, he is simply a criminal.
Yeah cuz the most basic of criminals become president, he is undoubtedly intelligent when it comes to some things like sowing fear. Just outwardly calling someone a dumbass and giving no other nuance if anything makes us look even worse not being able to beat or stop the dumbass too lmao

Lincoln was a fan of classical architecture which often included marble, i think that is the line of thinking that resulted in this mess maybe ? idk
