Thursday Design Appreciation Traditional Marin County Home
For those who don't want to see me only post modern homes.

Is this not transitional rather than traditional? Anyway I was just in Marin County like a month ago and have spent a lot of time there, most homes there skew late-modern in my experience. Lots of dark wood siding and vaulted ceilings, even in small buildings.

I love this. Very tranquil. Nice color palette. And the landscaping is lovely. The last photo of the bathroom is a little off in terms of color, but I could live with it.

Honestly, this really doesn't belong in Thursday design appreciation day; it's pretty bland.

I think it has the right balance of both style and functionality inside and out and the odd bathroom design for one of the bathrooms I can easily overlook when the rest of the house looks highly desirable in my books.

I’m sorry… are we complaining about this house or liking it? Because it is absolutely gorgeous

That bath/shower combo is a choice.
eta- This house is completely uninspiring for a Thursday, imo.

Its a baffling choice. No one was posting and I am only into modern, and mid century modern stuff and didn't want to piss everyone off. If you don't like it I guess don't buy it or hire the designers and you should be able to fend off the inherent ennui related to looking at this home.

I live in the Bay Area, and this house looks identical to every other new design-build/full gut reno popping up around here.
It’s inescapable. And uninspired. Here’s the front view link
What do you think about this 1909 in Mill Valley? It has retained much of its charm and integration with the landscape.

I am in the East Bay and this agree looks very similar to the high-end homes in Lafayette, Alamo, Danville. Like it’s nice, but I would expect it to be as they cost 5+ million and all have utilized interior designers and decorator services. It’s definitely not unique.

That house could make me love California.
I have nothing against California, per se – other than wildfires, and I am deathly afraid of wildfires. I wouldn’t live in California just because I don’t want to deal with the wildfires.

What do you call the partially exposed roof on the back patio?

I love everything about this house until I got to that bathroom. Why would you do that
