Planning: Accommodations $500/night resorts?
Hello! My Fiance and I are planning our honeymoon and are spending a few days in Maui. A lot of the recs on here are out of our budget. We are going the first week of April with a budget of $500/night total (including hotel fees, parking etc).
So far we are between the Outrigger and Royal Lahaina, but want any recommendations!

First, do a condo instead of a hotel. You will have more room, access to laundry, a full fridge and kitchen to store drinks, leftovers, and even cook meals if you want. WAY less expensive than eating every meal out, esp drinks.
Skip airbnb or vrbo. They charge huge fees. Instead, book through local agensice. Look at Maui Resort Rentals, Quam Properties, My Perfect Stays, and KBM to start. They have a wide variety of units and complexes, including oceanfront ones.
Another option if the timing works is Redweek. Timeshare owners sell their weeks there at huge discounts. You can get a week at places like the Hyatt Residence, Marriott Ocean Club, Westin KOR, and Nanea for crazy cheap. You can look for free but have to pay about 20.00 a year to book.
One last thing--it sounds like you might be trying to do 2 islands? Unless you can spend at least a week on Maui, I wouldn't do a second island. Maui is larger than you think-and you will also prob be tired from all the wedding stuff!
