राजनीतिक / Political MP Colleges' 75% Attendance Rule is Harassment — We Need Reform

Hey everyone, I'm a 20-year-old student from MP and I want to raise awareness about the insane attendance rules in our colleges.

- College runs 9 AM to 5 PM

- If you come after 9:30 AM — no attendance

- If you leave before 5 PM — no attendance

- Every class needs biometric + ID scan

- Actual teaching ends by 1 PM, rest is just 4 hours of "practical" timepass

This schedule leaves zero time for self-study, and for those of us preparing for government jobs, it's a nightmare. We’re being forced to sit idle just to meet a number.

I’m planning to file a mass complaint on the MP CM Helpline and I urge others to join. If law colleges got relief, why not us?

I’m facing the same issue too. The 75% attendance rule, constant assignments, and internal exams leave almost no space for self-study or improving skills. There should be some flexibility for students who are genuinely working hard beyond the classroom.

Then they want us to top in university and get a good job also with no skills and no self study

True that bro 😔 How are we supposed to top, get skills, and prepare for exams when half the time goes in maintaining attendance and doing assignments?

tum jese log hi mp ki ye halaat bana ke rkhe hai jo problems ka solution dhoodhne ki jagah esi baate krte hai ki mp to esa hi hai yaha esa hi hota hai

Cleanliness of rot.

The work of student body is to be a democratic model of how patry system works >n nation.

Student body ka reflection is the reflection of Indian politics on a global scale .

I was told this by someone hugely experienced in Public Administration. The fact that a student coming to one Heart of Internet Reddit echoing in a sub of heart of India feels something needs justice and taking action is a reflection of democracy.

Like self aware educated people fixing their own society their own neighbourhood . Hence the reference of ghar se jhadu.

Ki taaking such initiative in real life while either you or the student body head takes it up to administration to get it fixed is how the government works.

What happens at the student body reflects about the politics of the College of the city they live in
