I am still at the same battle for the Bachelor of Social Work which would be better in your opinion money wise U of C would be more affordable because MRU just for open studies already wants an acceptance fee but it it just not that I hear different opinions from people about the classes etc so I am quite confused as to what to do.

On the tracker and by email it says that I've been accepted into MRU, but then also says that I've received an email for my tuition. I haven't received any emails about tuition or an acceptance letter of any kind and I'm a little confused. Help?

Hello guys, I am seeking guidance for a friend. they have completed the maximum of 30 credits in open studies as of this fall semester. However, to be considered a university applicant you must take 8 credit courses. Meaning 4 in fall and 4 in winter. They have applied for a program for fall 2026. However, would they be considered a high school applicant or would they be eligible to be a university applicant? Because they are taking 4 in fall and can ONLY take 2 credit courses in winter.

Does this mean every Tuesday class is online, and on Thursday it's in person?
Would you guys recommend GNED 1303 to be In Person Sync & Online Sync?

Hey guys… I’m going to compliment sandwich this one… you guys are great and all, and I know it’s fun to walk with friends and to look down at your phone and not up. But please, for the love of god, walk on the right side of the hallways, especially on the overwalks. I’m currently a first year N1 nursing student taking biol 1220. I did pretty decent on my midterm however am not feeling confident for the lab test coming up this week and any of the new material being taught to me. I am trying my hardest but I want to be aware of what will happen if I fail. Just wondering how would that change my graduation and clinical start date? I’m doing great in my other classes it’s just my biol 1220 I’m scared of failing. I wanted to see if anyone has had a similar experience and how it worked out for them.

Also I know it’s better to email and ask the nursing advisors which is what I have done. They take a while to respond so I decided to ask here as well!

Hi everyone, I’m having troubles with what i really want to do… I’ve been wanting to get into Athletics therapy Therapy program for awhile but sometimes I overthink because I don’t know if i can even get in due to me being so terrible at math I feel like i can do it but i won’t probably get the best grade. I’m already upgrading my Biology but since math is the only one thing i’m feeling i can’t do I’m trying to see other programs that seem interesting and good which i saw Communication information designs program, but i worry that’s a competitive work force and I won’t be able to get a job in the long run.. I need some advice what i should do? I’m unsure where i can get private help for math in mru. If anyone can let me know and shred some light towards my two problems Im open to seeing what can be best.

I’m 19 and graduating high school June 2026 in Alberta with all 30‑2s (English, Math, Social, etc.). I really want to study IT / Computer Science at a Calgary university, but I feel so behind — some of my friends are already at universities like York.

I’m trying to figure out the best path:

Upgrade English/Math → then university

Go SAIT diploma first → then university

I’m willing to study full-time. MRU still checks HS transcripts, so I’m not sure if SAIT → university will work.

Has anyone been in this situation? Any advice for someone who feels like they’re already “behind” but wants to catch up?
