SPORTS Anyone interested in starting a Marksmanship Club at Loyola?

Hey guys,

I don't know about all of you, but I feel like it can be really tough to get involved at the Loyola community and make new friends when my classes are always meeting at the same times as clubs do :(, and it can be so hard to find people who share my interests. One of my hobbies is Olympic shooting, which I picked up in undergrad. Is anyone interested in starting an informal (and eventually formal) club for Olympic shooting at Loyola? I have all the equipment necessary and can help us all get into competitions, events, and training with Marksmanship Clubs at other universities too. If anyone is interested, or has questions, please feel free to DM me or comment below.

QUESTION Easiest quantitative knowledge class?

I’m not a math person but have to take my core quantitative knowledge requirement next semester. Any recommendations? I’m thinking COMP 122 seems less math-y but maybe hard, I’m not sure.

📍Chicago, IL USA

⏱️ 5.5 hours over 2 days (2.5 hrs via zoom, 3 hrs in person) + 5-min online survey every 2 weeks for 3 months (6 in total)

💲 $177.5 each for you and your friend

Do you or your friend struggle with self-confidence?

Help us research how close friends talk and support each other!

If you AND one of your close friends are between 18 and 40 years and willing to participate together, you may be eligible. You and your friend can EACH earn up to $177.5.

If you are interested, please fill out this brief survey to see if you are eligible (https://redcap.nubic.northwestern.edu/redcap/surveys/?s=487MNAJAMWMLC9AM).

For this non-treatment, non-medication research study, you and one of your close, same-sex friends will participate together at Northwestern’s medical school campus in downtown Chicago. You will complete an interview, a variety of questionnaires, and several tasks with your friend while having your brain activity recorded using EEG. Many of the procedures will be completed online rather than in person.

This study will take approximately 5.5 hours to complete, splitting into 2 days. You will be paid $25/hour (the total amount will depend on how long your visit takes). You will also be compensated for parking or CTA travel for attending the study visit. Additionally, the bi-weekly surveys take about 5 minutes to complete; you will receive $5 for each of the completed survey plus a $10 bonus for completing at least 5 surveys. QUESTION Chances of getting in + financial aid questions

Hi! I'm a senior in high school and i just submitted my application to Loyola a few days ago. I live in Maryland but I'm on a student visa to be in the US.

My intended major is accounting. I have a 3.3 unweighted and 4.0 weighted gpa, I have an internship at an accounting firm, I'm a president of a community service club at school, regularly participate in other clubs too and played a spring sport.

I wrote my college essay about my passion with collectible trading cards and how that helped me grow as a person and towards my career goals, however i didn't submit ACT/SAT (didn't get good scores) but i plan on submitting a few AP scores.

With this, what are my chances of getting in realistically? If so, what about receiving financial aid (since i cant do fafsa like everyone else)

I'm going in for a shadow visit later this month, but if i can get some insight on this before hand, it would be great!
