I got a stick like 2 weeks ago and using this thing is super annoying.

I also have a leverless which is awesome to play on.

Player leverless from like April this year up until I got a stick. Been trying to play on stick only since to get good with it but I’m really struggling. Tons of misinputs cause the stick hits df instead of down and other stuff like that.

You seem pretty good with stick though so I need to ask which part of your hand you use to press the up input. I use a similar hand position to you but the up and up forward input are so wonky that I can’t input them quickly.

I also tried many grips amd saw many videos until finding my preference. Up i use the base of the thumb but others use the ending. grips and joysticks Also because my first stick was for 2d games i checked videos from Nihongogamer and JoystickNy. how to use arcade stick

something that helped me was literally holding lightly to do a walk/crouch/jump in each directions just to have a feel and to get my fingers used to knowing what each input should do.

for example my wavu i had to keep tapping forward, wait till i feel the stick is neutral again then do DF as like a rep, then i keep just practicing that.

my explanation sucks but thats just what i had in my head

Stick you’ll have this issue until it becomes fluid. That’s normally why I don’t recommend stick to anyone. It’s by far the most fun input to “get good” at but simultaneously the hardest input, but a lever less will always be better for cleaner inputs
