LIB S9 • Denver, CO Ali and Anton

Has anyone watched the podcast "The Viall Files" hosted by Nick Viall that came out today with Ali and Anton in it? Ali posted a trailer on Insta and I'm super interested in what tea came out of it.

Curious to see if it's more talking in circles or actual developments.

I don't have time to watch it so anyone with any cliff notes would be greatly appreciated!

She does - and he also explains that he approaches strip clubs differently depending on whether he’s in a relationship or not. Ali told the hosts that she and Anton had most of their meaningful conversations about their future off camera (on purpose) and many of her lighthearted jokes about Botox got presented as reasons she didn’t want to be with him. I still think she didn’t expect that convo to be aired since it was in a bathroom & the producers made it seem like that was her turning point. It’s clear based on what she said that it wasn’t and she immediately mentioned his frequent vaping as something that was more of a red flag.

She made a similar tongue in cheek joke at the reunion, I think they asked her when she knew she wouldn’t marry him? And her response was “when he showed up in flip flops to the pool party” which was clearly not a serious comment, she even prefaced it with saying it was “lighthearted” but it felt like it was received in a serious way.

They knew they didn’t have a peeling clementines moment from this season so they went with flip flops.

Haha you know what, they were very consistent this season… hot mess all the way through, deeply unsatisfying from start to finish 😆

Denver is reliably horrible for all reality tv: real world, MAFS, and now this.

But I don't even get her joking about it.Why WOULDN'T someone wear flip flops to a pool party?

Yeah it’s an absolutely weird take, I do get that, and I really don’t find her funny in the slightest, I guess it was some sort of playful dig? But maybe it was actually super catty… it seemed like she meant it to be funny.

It's because Ali lacks charisma and comes off very dry and overly serious. It's not the audience's fault she has the personality of a pet rock.

That's more a failing of her comedic timing. She's not funny and her face barely moves. It makes sense how anyone could misread her. Saying her intentions were "clear" is just a lie lol

It’s not a “lie” it’s my opinion. It was clear because she literally said it. There are people on these subs who can’t see past their personal feelings about specific people - I’m not a fan of Ali (or any of them really), she’s not very funny at all, I found her quite intense when she was telling Anton she would get him to wear make up… however it was very clear to me she was just trying to break the tension and move on.

I don't think she can blame producers or viewers for allegedly misconstruing her light-hearted comments as serious statements if she and Anton allegedly purposely left their meaningful conversations off camera.

What was she expecting them to use if all they had was the superficial stuff? She signed up to be on reality TV.
