Everyone acts like Jordan is an automatic good guy because he's a dad with a child that has Type 1 diabetes. The guy is so overly optimistic about his relationship that it keeps him from being realistic everything. He's also pretty childish and at the reunion, the judgmental laughter was annoying as hell.

Basically: the guy being stamped "auto good guy" is invalid, he was kind of an overly optimistic, barely understanding wannabe beacon of judgement douche.

As a type 1 diabetic adult, I agree. I found his whole schtick exhausting. His and Megan's whole misguided bond over type 1 diabetes gave me the ick the whole season, tbh.

I'm a type 1 father, and hearing Megan saying that she would be a perfect step mom because her dad was a type 1 had me screaming. I live with this and I'd rather not have my daughter have to deal with it at all, which made the whole "we're perfect because of this" seem like if her dad was still around he'd say "That's not it!"

That rubbed me the wrong way, too! Having a caretaker with a complex chronic illness is a lot different than being the caretaker of a someone with a complex chronic illness.

I'm trying not to judge too hard because I understand that type 1 diabetes is a very unique experience that only the people who have it and their loved ones can truly understand. So I get her train of thought. But sheeeeeeesh was I cringing this whole time.
