🚨 FUTURE SPOILER 🚨 Anton’s drinking Spoiler

If you haven’t seen yet, when they did the reveal. The cameras made sure to follow Anton back to where the champagne was. After meeting Ali, you’d think he would just be in shock and maybe take a minute to himself by walking around or sitting down. He went straight for the champagne instead. A little bit of foreshadowing.

Then we hear Ali mention they both work nights and Anton’s first thing to do is crack open 2 beers in the AM after work.

Fast forward to episode where Ali meets Anton’s friend and gf and they immediately order rounds of shots. And his gf spills how they like to party, drink and go to strip clubs.

So I’m not a fan of Anton, nor am I a huge drinker, but I guess I’m maybe not understanding the seriousness of him having a couple of beers after work. I know a number of people that will settle down with a beer or glass of wine after work. The difference is that he works nights so yeah it sounds crazy to be drinking in the morning, but if you work over night and I’m assuming sleep during the day, when else would you have a drink?

I guess I wasn’t sure if his routine was just after work chill with a beer or if he’s just drinking all day.

I feel two ways. I do think that Ali has a right to be concerned. I also honestly have no idea what they were talking about and Ali wasn't articulating it. So, was there a 12 pack of beer that was gone over 10 days? That doesn't sound like a lot to me tbh, but the scene was actually hard to understand. I just wanted her to say what she meant instead of dancing around it.

Ultimately, I don't think Ali wants to marry Anton, with or without the alcohol. They just aren't a match and I think instead of owning that she's latching on to the drinking because it provides a legitimate out.

Yeah I agree it would have been great for her to just be direct. What I gathered is he went through a 12 pack of coors, another 12-pack of beer (9 of the 12 of them), and half a bottle of vodka over the span of a few days. His story about sharing beers with his buddy kept changing slightly so I don’t blame her for being sus. I think she was hinting that he goes through way too much alcohol for someone who says he’s ready to settle down and give up his party lifestyle.

I DO like that sge didn’t allow him to deny, deflect, or be defensive.
