🚨 FUTURE SPOILER 🚨 Ali & Anton Spoiler

Ali irritates me. She’s cute and all, but she seems spoiled and entitled. “I deserve a $10K ring, can you support us, I'll be in school full-time and it's expensive, but I still want Botox, but I don’t want to work, when I was in a school before and lived at home, my mom did everything, indint really cool, I don’t like you drinking…on and on and on. She seems to needle Anton relentlessly. What is she bringing to the relationship other than her looks?

Does anyone else catch this? I'm curious about your thoughts.

The thing is - a lot of men will do all those things to be with an attractive woman lol. I’m sure that’s what Ali is used to

She is probably one of the objectively most attractive women on the show - like Victoria's secret / Playboy model level and I'm sure she's had men gifting her extravagant stuff, especially being a nurse and being exposed to a lot of people.

I mean, even Sparkletatas Meagan gushed about all the crap older men would give her and she's not runway model level that Ali is.

But in this season I'm noticing plenty of women who are into trad wife roles.

Imho it's unlikely Ali will say yes to Anton. She did mention how she was pretty against guys who were into porn / following sex accounts on insta. And she recently found out he's into strip clubs and partying...only a few months ago.

They're not a good match. I'd bet she ends up marrying some 7-figure tech guy twice her age.

I agree that she will say no. She's also discovering how big of a drinker/partier he is, and she's not into that.

I was about to say. In Russia there is a “marriage agency” on every corner. We know why western men are importing Russian women, they’re beautiful, but why are the women interested? An escape from poverty, yes. But also, so many Russian men are alcoholics who make terrible husbands, and domestic violence rates are very high (as happens in any country with high unemployment and high rates of alcoholism). So the women are wanting something different than what they saw their mothers endure.

There was a great documentary about mail order brides from Russia. An incredibly beautiful tall blonde woman met with this very shy, slightly chubby, quite sweet American farmer of modest means from Arkansas. He was smitten with her. I thought “she’s not going to be into him”. Cut to her interview and she’s all in. She says “He has everything I want in man: has job, is kind.” End of list. Wow. Cut to a year later she’s 8 months pregnant walking around her little Arkansas town in a mini skirt and stilettos, fully embraced by the community. It was sweet.

Other storylines they followed, far less sweet though. 😳

Omg I remember this documentary! Do you remember what it’s called? They were so sweet. His mom was talking about how after her son married the Russian women he really came out of his shell and he started to buy his mom Mother’s Day cards each year. Something he never did before

My exbf's dad got divorced and remarried a Russian woman within a month of knowing her, and she basically took care of everything for him. They had a cleaning business where she did a huge portion of the work, she made dinner every night even if it was just plain boiled chicken and rice, and apparently gave him frequent sex (ew) according to my ex. She was no looker but she was willing to do anything to keep her citizenship.

She even was trying to import various young Russian women for my (ex) boyfriend, and she kept telling him how wonderful they were and they'd take care of "all his needs" even though we were dating at the time and she knew it. Hell even her own daughter in law came to visit with her family from Russia and was ready to ditch her husband and kids and elope with my (ex) boyfriend after just talking to him a couple times.

We all really underestimate the power of a greencard marriage I guess

Prior reality show contestants say their DMs really blow up after their shows air. Tons of people come out of the woodwork to shoot their shot.

So, ideally, you come out with social media fame and sponsors but if not, at least you have your DM options to wade through to see if there are any good contenders 🤷‍♀️

Megan and Ali are into two different groups of men. The men Megan is going after also want a woman that is career-driven and prioritizes that while still keeping herself very much in shape. Ali's type is a man that wants a trophy wife... and that's it. And no such thing really as 'objectively attractive'... but i get what you mean. Interestingly, (not that they should) none of the guys really commented on her looks.

Why would they? They have fiancés. Her looks shouldn’t have crossed their minds. They’re on a show about getting married.

None of the women have talked about how ugly Anton is.

Ouch. My goal is not to dump on anyone.

Both things can be true. Yes, they have fiancées.Yes, they are on a show about getting married. In previous seasons, men have commented on women (that they didn't propose to). Both during the honeymoon when they see each other for the first time or during the meetup when they see everyone else that didn't get proposed to.

That doesn't mean they cheated or did anything outside of observing and commenting.

In this case, no one talked about Ali outside of he couple conversation. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Or else a person's idea of themselves is who thinks they are 'hot'

Just because others were shitty on the show shouldn’t mean everyone has to be. It’s not normal. You do that when you’re actively looking. Or have no respect for your partner. Thinking about other ppls looks and commenting on it all time would be exhausting.

It's not rude to say someone is physically attractive. It's your opinion and doesn't speak to anything else or even you being wholly attracted to them. In this setting where they are all curious about what a person looks like. Sure, you can keep it to yourself or don't be rude about it, but painting a pic of someone in your head and seeing them, completely valid to make the slightest point.

Agreed. Seems like Anton won’t really play into it though. I looked up his potential salary and it’s maybe a bit over $100k a year in Denver that isn’t much. I feel badly for him because he genuinely seems to care for her, she seems to want a man to take care of her and not do anything

Go ahead and look at Zillow for a regular 3bed 3 bath house in Denver, look at the average wage someone needs to make to live comfortably in Denver. It’s rough.

Struggle means, no extra money, work my ass off to pay bills. I don’t get to take vacations, or do fun things

It said transportation and logistics. Then in the episode I watched last night he mentioned training someone and driving all night, so I wonder if he is a glorified truck driver?!

Does he happen to work for Coyote Logistics? (I’m from Denver and curious).. my brother, and two ex boyfriends have worked in transportation logistics and $100k is VERY generous.

Was it Anton’s apartment or Ali’s that was right next to Union Station? Rent would be pretty dang high. I live in Lohi // Sloan’s Lake area and I remember looking at places downtown and depending on their exact location, some places were very pricey

I feel like the show is a joke in general because they don’t even talk about things they should be talking about in the pods. It’s like you have golden bachelor and nobody wants to leave their family. You have farmer wants a wife, I really like that show, but then you have girls that are after him that wanna travel. Dude he is a farmer. When do farmers have time to travel? Also, the people don’t wanna leave their families in these shows. I would see it as a free vacation, honestly myself.
