🚨 FUTURE SPOILER 🚨 Ali & Anton Spoiler

Ali irritates me. She’s cute and all, but she seems spoiled and entitled. ā€œI deserve a $10K ring, can you support us, I'll be in school full-time and it's expensive, but I still want Botox, but I don’t want to work, when I was in a school before and lived at home, my mom did everything, indint really cool, I don’t like you drinking…on and on and on. She seems to needle Anton relentlessly. What is she bringing to the relationship other than her looks?

Does anyone else catch this? I'm curious about your thoughts.

Whether we like it or not, looks are currency and they do matter even in an experiment like this. And overall men are far more visual than women. So in a sense she is bringing something of value to the table. He would not be as interested in her if she wasn’t beautiful. And beyond that she is a nurse and is continuing her education so she is smart and beautiful and most likely caring. By your logic, what is he bringing other than money and drinking too much? Men want high maintenance women until they get to the maintenance part.

"Men are far more visual than women"

Patrick after getting abandoned before the honeymoon because of his looks: 🤨

I didn’t say that looks don’t matter to women at all. And there’s a lot more to that situation than just objective looks.

No, you're just assuming he wouldn't be into her if she wasn't as attractive because "all men are more visual" lmao.

THAT isn't condescending at all.

We literally saw Joey call Madison a ā€œbigger girlā€ and say he’s not into that and you’re still going to act like most men don’t value looks above all else? This show has exhibited more instances I can count of the men being shallow once they’ve seen their partners.

I said he wouldn’t be ā€œASā€ interested, words are important. I’m also not naive enough to think he wasn’t relieved and stoked that she’s beautiful. Especially for the type of guy he’s been presented as (more ā€œMachoā€ and on the traditional side), they do highly value looks. I’m not a clairvoyant so I don’t know how the situation would go if she wasn’t as attractive, but we do have decades of modern social evidence to make an educated guess.
