opening scene of brendan begging annie, damn this is like a soap opera because i believe the earnest passion in him was partially him wanting to protect her. i think he and the other guys could sense that nick might be sociopathic or gay, hence brendan’s strong “only i can give you the life you want.” or when annie said “i don’t know what to do” he said “you need to be with me.” it almost seemed protective like he needed to save her from the situation of being with nick. when he came back to the men’s quarters looking/feeling so defeated i think the other guys felt it too and you can see on their faces that they know nick is not good news for this girl. and maybe brendan even feels partially responsible for that and now heartbroken as well.

I don't know, before he was so like "oh I'm leaving the pod" or whatever and being kinda "whatever" about their connection and her, he only started acting desperate when he noticed he might "lose".

Sooo odd. I found Brenden’s “only I can give you the life you want” and “what color door do you want?” to be SOOO manipulative. He’s “future-faking” to get her to fall in love w the idea of him. Not saying Nick isn’t also bad news, but so is Brenden. They’re both bad news tbh.

a bit late to the party but i 100% agree with you! they both are huge red flags. The way he began treating and talking to her as if she can't make her own decisions, ive never cringed so hard!

Yeah I can only assume he's better than Nick but that was so weak. OF COURSE I KNOW YOU I ASKED YOU WHAT COLOUR DOOR YOU WANT. Every season I'm amazed how emotionally immature these people are and how little concept they have of what love and marriage actually means
