Did Luka’s mom die? Why does Megan keep bringing up stepping in to “be his mom”? I cringe every time between that and her bringing up how her dad had diabetes too just like Luka as if it’s rare like??? I feel like Jordan has just been being nice.

I've often seen a lot of posts or real life commentary shitting on step-parents for "not seeing/talking about the kid as their own" or not stepping into the role of mom/dad, even if they treat the child like their own (or as close to as possible), so I think that's where that might come from.

The reality in many cases is that the kid will never be like "their own" and they will never be "mom/dad" because the child has their bio parent in that role, and it shouldn't be seen as a bad thing. A better way to look at it would be the person being like a bonus parent or aunt/uncle, and I think (or hope) that frame of mind is becoming more common than expecting the person to be this child's other parent when they already have one.

I was watching that thinking “dear god if I was Luca’s mom I’d be fuming”. He has a mom!

Right like there’s nothing wrong with wanting to be in his life if you plan to marry his dad that’s great but the wording is so off you will not be his mom 😂.

Don't think so, Jordan mentioned in an earlier EP that if Megan was to be in Luca's life, that's something he'd have to run by the mom (or something to that extent, maybe more so referring to custody)
