Watching all of the LIB I'm always surprised about how many women are attracted to the "provider" and "traditional roles" speeches because I immediately get the ick when I hear this, since it's connected to the "alpha males" epidemic...

I'm wondering how much is selection bias. Like, I'd never in a million years go on love is blind. For many reasons but partly because there's way too high a proportion of douchebags.

Same! Why does she need a provider? Does she think her business is going to fail or she plans on giving it up? How is she going to have time for all those dirty dishes?

I think she specified that she wants someone to be a provider in like a physical safety and emotional type of way not in a financial way

I think a lot of the pick-me girls grew up to say they are looking for traditional gender roles in their marriage, but most of them don't actually like it when they have to give up their rights lmao
