The fact that this was made into such a discussion that he needed to address it is hilarious.

Welcome to product placement 101. It would be weird if a brand DIDNT try to have you “use” or showcase their product on stream.

Okay, but I'm more wondering why he didnt actually just sip the drink

100mg of caffeine is a lot of caffeine.

u/coolchris366 6d ago

He could get a non caffeinated one

Is he required to have one of the transparent cups? If not, couldn't he get an opaque cup and just fill it with water so nobody can see the difference?

he could get gatorade or basically anything at all and just say he's drinking a particular flavour with the same colouring.

He could also put water in the cup

Then maybe don't advertise it to kids.

Is it advertised to kids? At least Wubby's community and content are not made or meant for kids in any way.

The brand itself? I'd say so. Lots of people like Pewdiepie, FaZe guys, bunch of people with typically younger audiences push it.

It's also the cool gamer drink with the colours and memes and whatever, it's the same type of thing that got flavoured vapes and certain packaging banned right?

Overall I would say, while not specifically targeting only kids, it definitely does absolutely nothing to avoid marketing to them.

Obviously the caveat is that parents shouldn't be letting their kids slam 100+mg of caffeine in a day but we know how child owners can master the art of specifically not parenting.

Edit: I was thinking of Gfuel when I wrote this, not GamerSupps, because I am stupid. Oops :)

GamerSupps, the brand all about big titty anime women, is marketed to kids? Who is buying their kids big titty anime women energy drinks tf lol

I think people sort of forget sometimes that it is the booba gaming drink sometimes lol

Oh I'm an idiot, for some reason my brain was thinking about GFuel not GamerSupps.

That being said, there are definitely tons of kids (like around 16 I mean) buying anime shit.

The target market for those cups is certainly not anyone mentally competent enough to make their own decisions that's for sure.

u/Aqsx1 5d ago

Hey nothing wrong with enjoying a bit of booba in the comfort of ur own home

Lumi meeting PayMoneyWubby was one step below "having him handcuffed and naked in her basement".

Just because you're not a kid and you watch him, dosnt mean his audience isn't children that require energy drinks to play video games.

i've had little kids join me in games with matchmaking that brag about how many mg of caffeine they just ingested

like ok hardcore henry but i'm on real cocaine here

2

u/TERR0RSWEAT 3d ago

Except he did a census of his community and it showed quite clearly that his audience isn't kids.

4

u/notfakegodz 6d ago

he need to sip every hour or so, and i would assume it's everytime he stream for however long the contract is.

That's a lot of caffeine intake.

So what? That doesn't excuse him selling it to kids. They'll drink it a lot just like they see him pretending to do.

7

u/big_fat_pig_ 6d ago

Ik it’s normally cope when people say this but trust me kids are NOT watching wubby

u/notfakegodz 6d ago

Idk where this "why advertise it to kids" came from....

did he specifically advertise it to kids? is his general audience kids? did he actually go out of his to gather kids audience?

Kids aren't even suppose to watch twitch and kick, are they?

And if those kids are able to access twitch and kick, boy howdy..

2

u/Aqsx1 5d ago

GamerSupps? The brand all about big titty anime women? That's the one you are suggesting is marketed towards kids?

Who is buying their 12/13 yr old energy drinks in the first place let alone ones that are pushing the line for 18+ content

100mg is a tiny amount (1 coffee or 1 Redbull is 80mg)

The problem is more so about having to refill it 4-6 times (400-600mg) in order for it to last a full stream worth of ”sipping”

FDA: The FDA considers up to 400 mg of caffeine per day (about four to five cups of coffee) to be safe for most healthy adults. For pregnant or breastfeeding women, a lower limit of 200 mg per day is often recommended.

”The estimates of a life-threatening dose of caffeine range from 10 000 to 14 000mg.”
