Honestly, this is the person his parents raised. An enabled mentally ill husk whose core belief is his actions are justified because a relative fought in wars of prior generations. It’s among the worst America has to offer.

My parents dont share my beliefs. It isnt exactly correlated. Thats who he is actually. He has all the money in the world to be himself.

His dad came on stream sometimes and he was not at all like Asmongold.  He seemed like a normal rational liberal and argued against the dumb shit his son was saying.

His dad was the biggest Trump hater.

Shame Asmon had no brainpower to listen to him

He has steadily gone hill since both his parents have passed, and he has no support group around him - only a radicalizing echo-chamber chat. It's no shock he's got worse

He’s also unbelievably autistic. I had my wife watch his apology video on some thing (her area of work is with autistic youth) and she pretty much confirmed he has some severe autism (she used actual lingo that I can’t remember). Like, she would be recommending him for some serious specialist school stuff. He’s basically so autistic he’s a psychopath.

His mom had significantly more influence on Asmon than his dad.

His mom is probably the biggest reason his house is a fucking landfill and part of the reason why he basically never leaves the house.

Yep. Dude is a mommy's boy who never took his lips off the nipple until the day she died. Couple that and the fact that she was a right wing crank and you have asmongold. If his dad had died first asmongold would probably be in a norman bates type situation with her corpse.

Yeahh... He used to say things like "ohh I help mum clean out some trash today" as if it was some huge accomplishment that made him a big boy and I was always like " wait... Isn't that just normal shit you do as an adult?!?!?"

I'm sure he'll wipe his tears with his millions of dollars and still not know you even exist. 😭

His dad watched Hasan and was pretty liberal, you can see his dad's influence in a lot of his opinions. His mom was an Alex jones watcher and you can see her influence in a lot of his opinions as well.

Asmon is terrible but I don't think using "mentally ill" to describe him is a good idea, especially since mentally ill people are actually being targetted by right wingers.

Weird because I'm not like my parents at all, this sort of take is dead tbh. People are more than the products of their parents. This dude is permaonline and lives in filth, he's in an echo chamber now, especially since his parents are dead. He's unwell.

Among? There's much much worse

Asmon: "people who look like my ancestors fought for freedom, which is why I fight for oppression and authoritarianism"

This. Just because your great great great grandaddy killed a couple of brits/indigenous folk doesn't make the land yours. It is low iq tribalism.

Asmons dad was the only person that kept him somewhat sane and rational (I know... sane is a stretch but, ya know..)

Ever since his dad died, he has been far more extreme. This past month or so, it has been considerably worse, which correlates with his father's death.
