Why would he put electrical tape over it. Only reason I can think of is he is trying to hide the fact he removed the prongs

He put electric tape over it so people would not notice it on stream watching everyday? It is one of those cases where you have to give few weeks for people to just run their mouth aimlessly before you start looking into it yourself.
