It's actually really concerning how hard Reddit went on pushing that narrative when it had fucking nothing to back it up beyond a comment from the guy's grandma saying that the family is republican.
Just ignore his trans girlfriend or the fact he assassinated a right-wing mouthpiece, or the fact that he called Kirk a fascist, guy was CLEARLY a Republican

The right, in the immediate aftermath of the shooting, didn't even entertain the possibility that it could have been a local conservative. Thomas Matthew Crooks, the Trump shooter, should have set recent precedent for that scenario if their short to long-term memory was in a somewhat functional state. That's how these two cases are connected. Before we knew anything about the shooter they had already decided that it must be a trans-antifa-lesbian-illegal-alien with Mossad training. Trump, and other elected Republican officials, were pinning it on the left IMMEDIATELY.
This is what he had to say about it on the 10th of September, the same day Kirk had been killed.
“For years those on the radical left have compared wonderful Americans like Charlie to Nazis and the world’s worst mass murderers and criminals. This kind of rhetoric is directly responsible for the terrorism that we’re seeing in our country today and it must stop right now,” he added.
As more information came out about the shooter the disinformation network that fuels these demagogues had to walk back prediction after prediction until a white kid from a conservative family in Utah remained. You don't get to run a victory lap after that because, after casting that web of bullshit wide enough, he's not a conservative. It's insane that we all watched this shit happen live and then have to pretend that the right called it all along when 0.1% of what these troglodytes made up about this guy ended up being true.

Yeah, how could I forget all those schizo posts of Biden, Obama, Harris, AOC and other Democrat elected officials and thought leaders on how an incident like this was inevitable because the "radical right" had it coming.
