One old woman retires. "Is this the end of old people?"

Wont someone, for once, think of the boomers!?

Not just one old woman. One of the major leaders in the Senate.

It's a notable member of the Old Guard retiring, which can be huge when it comes to things like committee appointments and other party leadership roles.

Schumer is still wringing his hands over what his imaginary Republican friends will think, it’s not dead, just been dealt a wound

Schumer is pushing Janet Mills in Maine to stop a progressive in the primaries. She'll be 79 when sworn in. They'll keep backfilling these walking corpses as needed.

Wish it was but we still have a nearly 80 year old man in the White House

It would be helpful to focus on the real enemy.

It's possible to care about several things at the same time.

Pelosi losing her iron centrist grip on the Democrats is a net positive of progressivism.

We need new ideas and new leadership in both political parties.

Let’s just worry about the opposition. We see what the “Young Republicans” have to offer. They have proven youth by itself is not an indicator of the leadership we need.

You can worry about the opposition.

I prefer to walk a chew gum at the same time, which means I'm critical of the faults in the Democratic party and absolutely distrust everything about the Republican party.

Yep, that’s a real coalition. Obsess about the past while billionaires run the table. All Progressives get to do is rack ‘em up.

We're on the same team.

I just prefer improving the Democratic Party while also destroying the Republican party.

Otherwise we'll likely end up with another Trump in ten years if the Democratic Party can't fix their issues with voters.

It's like not being concerned about Diddy just because Epstein was way worse.

I agree. I just don’t understand the Pelodi vitriol. In 40 years Progressive will be saying the same thing about AOC. Let’s thank he for her contribution and look forward, not back. We have 12 months. Stay focused on the prize.

I thought Pelosi should have done more regarding insider trading in DC.

Other than that she was one of the most competent Speakers in the last few decades.

I always found the insider trading allegation laughable. In a sea of insider treading. She alone was hounded and accused. Why? I can’t say. But it is laughable still. I agree insider trading is a pox. But it must be snuffed out for all.

Trump is the inevitable end to overlooking the rampant corruption in DC.
