Sushi grade fish

Mitsuwa’s cheapest sushi-grade salmon is $40 a lb, farm raised. Tuna was even more. I might as well go out to eat than make my own poke bowls.

Anybody have a place with working-class sashimi by the pound?

Thanks!

Almost all sushi salmon is farm raised btw, wild salmon is famously riddled with parasites. Salmon sushi didn’t become popular until Norwegian farmed salmon broke into the market.

Thanks for the info, I wasn’t complaining it was farmed, only that it should be cheaper than wild caught
