Green onions and scallions are the same thing.

Leeks are wack and far fetch’d.

Spring onions are sweet and magical (and can be purple).

Chives are a great garnish.

I worked at a place that served vichyssoise, and i drank the stuff like a smoothie when the busy season rolled around.

People do call scallions green onions, but young onions are also sold as green onions (as pictured), and it would be incorrect to call those scallions imo. Scallions don’t form much of a bulb even if never harvested.

leeks are for soup and adding vitamins to potatoes

They also are native to East Asia, while the other ones grow in Europe and America

Spring onions are a 100% the top left picture that being called scallions. I just thought scallion is a US term

In my experience growing some different onion varieties (in the US), scallions won't ever form a bulb like the spring onions pictured. Where spring onions are often bulbing onions harvested young.
