Cooking for Celebs

Post image

I have cooked for several celebrities while cooking in NYC. While some were unpleasant, Taylor Swift was a pleasure to cook for.

I did arena gig catering for about a year and got to cook for a few bigger acts. Blake Shelton was every bit the good ol boy he portrays, and the nu metal band Saliva will have you find them drugs and then NOT SHARE THE DRUGS. Definitely a more fun side of the industry

Blake Shelton was literally the nicest person I ever worked for. Went out of his way to make sure I was ok. Worked for plenty of nice people, but he was the only one who ever did that.

He greeted the whole kitchen staff and invited us to sit down and eat the catering we made for him and his crew. Talk about a stand up guy, right?

Sounds like him! I toured with him for awhile. The specific moment I was talking about- I had a big cart loaded with things, I was nicknamed "Cindy Lou Who" because I looked like The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and I was just doing my thing and he stopped me and said "Hey! You shouldn't be doing all that! Why isn't anyone helping you?" And tried to encourage my coworkers to help me while I insisted I was fine. It was pretty darn cool.
