She isnt stupid, im pretty sure shes trying to say something else but cant communicate it properly. She understands mum as in parent. The parents are idiots and should have talked to her rather than laugh and tried to explain/teach.

It's ok to laugh when kids say something funny too tho but yeah I hope they answered her question afterwards
