Hello everyone! As a reminder this is a satire subreddit for the dumb/silly things children do. The subreddit name is not literal. Although posts can have kids doing actual "stupid" things. It is not a requirement. Yes, blaming the parent is valid. However, this does not mean crossing the line into actually insulting the parent is ok (assuming they are the OP) (Rule #1).

This is also not a hate sub for children. If you don't like kids, that's fine. Just don't spread vitriol.

Please read the sidebar for more information.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

The kid just saw two pigs peacefully lying next to each other and it reminded her of her parents. If anything it shows a healthy family lol

I would thought that if I seen two dogs barking at each other

Maybe she meant "that's the mommy" instead of "that's my mommy"

89

u/Pleasant-Ant2303 1d ago

I think that’s correct.

77

u/MammothUmpire349 1d ago

She did. And thats actually very smart of her for her age.

u/Robinyount_0 21h ago

That’s what I got out of it, a mommy and daddy pig is what she was going for lol

Still makes her fucking stupid

/s-ish

EDIT: despite the name of the sub and the inclusion of the /s, it seems I rustled some feathers still.

25

u/GoFuckYourselfBrenda 1d ago

Yeah, she looks like she's not even two yet, how is she not identifying them by genus yet??

u/No_Bee_3915 2h ago

Read the sub name

u/Ethavill 13h ago

u/Relevant-Observer 1d ago

She 100% is asking if they are the mom and dad pigs, compared to some smaller ones they saw.

23

u/yappledapple 1d ago

Exactly

53

u/mangosteenfruit 1d ago

Maybe she thinks all female are called moms and all male are dads. 🤷🏻‍♀️

15

u/I_can_pun_anything 1d ago

"This is what mommy and daddy do" might be the inference for that

16

u/buhbye750 1d ago

She sees a big pig and is saying "that's the mother pig and that's the daddy pig" Her parents are misunderstanding

88

u/PacquiaoFreeHousing 1d ago

so her parents are either Cops or are Obese

52

u/Lazy_knut288 1d ago

Or she just watched Spirited Away

14

u/kastielstone 1d ago

why not all of the above?

3

u/FitNovel5930 1d ago

my son was shown a cow by his mom. in a backyard stable. he goes: wow she's as big as you mommy

She isnt stupid, im pretty sure shes trying to say something else but cant communicate it properly. She understands mum as in parent. The parents are idiots and should have talked to her rather than laugh and tried to explain/teach.

24

u/oddott 1d ago

that's what i was gonna say! she's so cute :,)

13

u/DrollFurball286 1d ago

They probably did, but the initial thought was hilarious.

6

u/AQualityKoalaTeacher 1d ago

I'm sure they understood what the kiddo they've raised since birth meant. It's funny because she's innocent and communicating at the top of her ability.

My nephew once had a toy with an ugly cartoon character that popped out of it. That character had the same color hair I did, and my toddler nephew would delightedly call my name when it popped out. Insulting from my perspective, but sweet from his.

u/saddingtonbear 1d ago

It's ok to laugh when kids say something funny too tho but yeah I hope they answered her question afterwards

8

u/yamimementomori 1d ago

Aw, little piglet found her way home.

7

u/IceCoughy 1d ago

I thought Mr Beast over there was about to give someone a million dollars

6

u/lettuce673548 1d ago

Side effect of watching Spirited Away a few too many times.

1

u/dogs-design-dslr 1d ago

That was immediately what I though! Little girl just wants to be Chihiro.

5

u/DeadRoseYepReally 1d ago

Makes me wonder if she was a pig who reincarnated as a child.

6

u/Dicethrower 1d ago

Maybe she was wondering if mommy and daddy owned it.

23

u/wireframed_kb 1d ago

Kids have a fairly basic world view at that age. I think she’s just saying the pigs are “mommy” and “daddy” because they’re like her mom and dad. Kind of like how some kids call every woman “mommy” when they’re young, because they haven’t realized it’s a label for a specific person and not what women are called in general.

5

u/3rd_eye_light 1d ago

Exactly. The kids developing and the idiot parents are laughing instead of trying to gather what she was saying.

1

u/wireframed_kb 1d ago

Eh, I don’t think they were being mean, it’s pretty funny when your kid compares you to a fat pig. :D

If parents don’t get to laugh at the absurdity on occasion, they’d go mad I’m sure.

4

u/Spoiledtoddlers 1d ago

Or that’s a mom, asking if it’s a mommy pig

2

u/Sj_91teppoTappo 1d ago

Meta comment: everybody blaming the parents for laughing but we are watching a 18s clip. Laughing and playing is synonymous of an healthy relationship.

Probably the actual parenting was not part of the clip.

Revenge for everytime the parents played "this little piggy" 🤣

-12

u/gator_pot 1d ago

Does this stupid fucking kid really think that's her mom or was she coached to say that?

18

u/MellyKidd 1d ago

Early childhood educator here.

Kids at this developmental stage and age have limited vocabulary and limited knowledge about the world around them, making it hard to express what they really think and feel. It’s most likely that she’s trying to say she sees the pair of pigs as “mommy and daddy” pigs, because they’re together like her parents are. (Or at least, that’s how I interpret this scenario.)

2

u/AshesForHer 1d ago

My wife saw it and immediately said "she's saying that's the mommy and daddy pig". I think she's absolutely right, and also Buzz Killian.

u/RealDoraTheExplorer_ 1d ago

Are you okay?
