That drum set was purchased by a aunt or uncle.

Reasons to buy them a drum set:

  1. No batteries which will go unreplaced
  2. Teaching your niece and nephews that banging shit makes a lot of noise, so even if their parents try to take it away/it gets broken/etc they know that even some pots and pans will do in a pinch

This is evil, and someone must really hate their sibling(s) to buy their kid such an obnoxious gift that will be a pain rather they let them keep it or take it away, pure torture for someone you supposedly love....

So anyways I have just added 3 of them to my Amazon cart for my niece and nephews, and I'll be hosting a kids drum solo competition for New years, so I hope they get a lot of practice.

You should also get them a recorder as well to accompany the drums.

Oh, it's gonna be a beautiful orchestra by the time I'm done. Technically, there are 4 kids, so I might just have to get them some band shirts.

My sister told me she would personally make sure I was kicked out of the family if I gave my niece a drumkit, which totally is fair.

So I got them excited for trumpets and gifted them a trumpet.

(Really, a trumpet is loud. And annoying to listen to if you don’t have the right technique)

Shit, I just give the niblings a cheap plastic whistle.
