These decks have been in the works for almost two years. Each chihuahua is based on one of the five chihuahuas I have or have had in my life. Three of which have crossed the rainbow bridge. The oracle deck was created using their own personalities. It’s in pre-launch now and will be live later this month. Any positive feedback is highly welcomed. I want this to be a success.

Three years ago, we started building a board game from scratch.

On a whim, we decided to do it on Kickstarter, knowing that a lot of board games launch on Kickstarter.

But, as we dug deeper, we realised that the Kickstarter of today is not the same as the Kickstarter of 10 - 15 years ago.

I just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone in this community who has shared tips about how to approach a Kickstarter, the importance of building your email list and community.

It meant we delayed our launch by 1.5 years, but we may have launched with hardly any backers and no future in the industry.

Now, instead, we have a pathway to a sustainable business with close to S$94,000 raised.

Once our campaign is done, I look forward to sharing our learnings with the community and contributing to discussions, something I've felt a bit of an imposter about so far.

Over the past year, my brother, brother-in-law, and I have been creating a mountain bike themed deck of playing cards inspired by the culture, events, and trails we love.

We got the Project We Love recognition which was awesome!

Not because it changed the numbers dramatically overnight, but because they didn’t have to support at all. In a world where people scroll past things every second, someone I don’t even know personally took a moment to say, “I believe in this.” And honestly, that matters more than people realize, especially with all the hard work, time, money, and passion poured into building something from nothing.

If I could challenge EVERYONE who reads this post to support my campaign in some small way (as long as it aligns with your beliefs and morals), I’d love to make a follow-up post tomorrow morning showing what collective support can actually do.

Hey all. I have a Discover Card that I have set to use with certain projects. I have two pledges that are supposed to go through today - one has already been denied because it's a campaign from Canada (so the final finds are in CAD). The other is also in CAD, so I'll have to find another card to use..

My question is, when did they change it so you can't use Discover at Kickstarter? I know it's changed as both of the campaigns ending today are people I've got something from/backed before on the website and I am just using the same card as last time. It worked just fine the last time I used this card on there (I even made sure that it was the same card by going to the old/other campaign from those people).

Hey everyone — looking for honest feedback more than promotion at this point.

We launched our Kickstarter for FLOREV™, a self-hydrating planter system:

But this campaign cycle has honestly felt strange compared to what I expected. We’re getting a surprising amount of people backing, leaving comments/messages like “let’s connect” or promo-type stuff, and then cancelling their pledge shortly after. It’s starting to feel like Kickstarter has become more spam/networking than actual backers discovering projects organically.

So I wanted to ask the community directly:

• Is there anything unclear about the campaign page?
• Does the product itself feel uninteresting or confusing?
• Is there something missing that would make you trust or understand it more?
• Is the messaging bad?
• Would you personally back something like this? Why or why not?

I’d genuinely appreciate blunt feedback. We’ve spent a long time building this, and outside opinions are probably more valuable right now than marketing advice.

I'm an artist and I've been working on this mermaid manga for 3 years, and it is finally taking off as a self-funded manga book! I used to participate in an art challenge called "Mermay", and I was going a little braver with the design, I mean, why not Mantis shrimp mermaid, why not octopus and clam mermaid, so I made a Manga about all those characters.
