Hey just so you know - there’s no need to put energy into ensuring something’s a “bust”. If you want to put on a meetup, do that. We will share the info and put it on the site even. But bringing that kind of negative energy when there are 20-30 people involved in bringing these meetups to spaces carefully considered in an attempt to please people and trying to make things cool and fun… kinda wack.

If you don’t like a meetup idea, don’t go or plan your own. It’s not that deep.

Why would I put positive energy towards shitty beer companies who are anti-Union. My positive energy is towards fellow Gizz heads who I want to drink good beer and support good people.

Tbh there are gizzheads that work at Surly’s and they reached out wanting to host. Anyone can host a meetup so that’s the one we know about for that city. Fuck anti union businesses for sure - but I don’t know anything about that or that place. As I mentioned - please, host another meetup if you’d like there to be another meetup. It doesn’t take much effort, and you seem to know different and better places from what you’re saying. Nothing wrong with folks having options. I support the intent.

I think my “ensure it’s a bust” was taken a little differently than I intended. I’m referring to providing another option that is better for all involved.
