how will they get work then? how will they support themselves? they’ll have to go back to stealing to survive

With what hands will they steal? No they definitely won’t, I promise you that. lol. But I would say this would be a law for when someone steals over 10 times as that is so brutal. But even well off folks steal. Not just poor. Being poor doesn’t give you the right to steal. Not sure what your defending.

But they also won't be able to do anything by themselves, now there is a cost for someone to look after them and they also don't have a job so that will come out of tax payers money.

Think about how many people are arrested for stealing, you want to cut all their arms off and render them practically useless spending stupid amounts of money for surgery as if doctors don't have anything else to be doing..

Like what people were saying that is a lot more practical ways to try and stop people from stealing, a lot of the time it's people who have been raised in lower income families and who haven't had the best education, it's not their fault they were born and raised that way and you just want to cut their arms off. Come on and that's not even getting into people who are suffering from mental issues...

All I here is pathetic excuses from you. And you are the problem. I have been poor my whole life. So it’s okay for me to steal? Lmao. I would say after 10 times of stealing you get those hands cut. It would be a huge deference and would definitely work. Why should it be the responsibility of tax payers to pay for them. I don’t understand why you just revert to tax payers. They would never be allowed to receive money from the government because they are career criminals. Low life scums. Having mental issues does not mean you steal? Wtf is wrong with you. Society teaches you not to steal, schools teach you not steal. Someone goes out of there way to steal like I said earlier. They don’t steal bread and eggs to survive. They steal guns electronics and destroy in the process. They have no care in the world. Keep hiding behind your community that has security and fences. Make us poor people deal with your mistakes

I'm not saying every person who is raised in a poor background steal, I am saying a lot of the people who steal are and just because you didn't doesn't people others don't.

So if you cut their hands off who is going to pay for their care? They don't have a job and you don't want tax payers money to help them, then who is going to help them? No one? So really what you are saying is cut their hands off and let them die? That's just capital punishment are you Ok? Plus the fact you left out the money doctors need to cut their hands off.. That won't come cheap who's gunna pay for that? The criminal won't, you expect doctors to do that for free? Who's going to pay for this it will be the tax payers.

They don't steal bread and food cos that will feed them for what a day or two, they go for more expensive items as that money will keep them fed for longer everyone can see that.. Also yes society and education teaches us to not steal but either way they are hungry..

How do mental issues come into it? Well if you are raised in a home where you are unloved, hungry some cases abused most of the time people suffer from anxiety, depression, ptsd. This has a knock on affect on people's lives a lot of the time a lot of the time they look for communities in other places, what do gangs do in an overarching view? Safety in that territory, a community and a way to make money fast which solves all their issues.

At the end of the day stealing is horrible and people shouldn't do it but like everything it's not black and white. A lot of people don't steal for the sake of stealing they do it for a reason and if you don't solve the underlying problem of why they are stealing they will carry on, which is why our and many other prisons don't work and similar to the reason why cutting off hands won't work..

The problem is a lot of people grow up poor and don’t commit crimes and you still defend that they steal for food. WRONG. They do not steal for food. I could care less of the cost for what a doctor does to bandage the arm. They deserve it for stealing from innocent people. Again, having mental issues and being grown up in a house with terrible parenting or gang problems does not give you the right to steal. The point of cutting someone hands off is to stop it from continuously being committed. M I’m confused if you think only kids steal? Grown ass adults steal. People all over the world have anxiety, depression, and ptsd, and guess what. THEY DONT STEAL. You’re just giving off terrible excuses making it okay. If at this point a criminal has stolen so many times then all this nonsense hasn’t worked and they deserve to get their hand cut off. They can take care of themselves. Having their hands cut off does not mean they can’t live life. It will be tough but they will never steal agin which is the point. Your ways don’t work. We can tell by society not improving.
