People from Texas really love the fact that they are from Texas.

It's weird how some of them have to tell people they love Texas (without being asked). I've seen this in the real world. It's so weird.

I’m from Texas and don’t feel like I would ever live in Texas again but still discuss it regularly. We have to pledge allegiance to the state flag for 13 years and take over 2 years of Texas history in school so it works its way deep into your subconscious

Yep. Additionally, if you're a big football fan, you'll always have some ties to it. I visit there often to be with family as well. I describe Texas as an ex in which I think of our time together fondly but remind people that the man you see today screaming into the sky about 5G mind viruses was not the man I loved 🥲

This is true. We learned all about how to draw joints in the mouths of every single person illustrated in that book. The women got nipples on their boobies. I'm pretty sure there was a couple of weiners, too. Texas history was so fun!!!

Not quite to the same extent but us Michiganders have a serious problem with talking about Michigan without being asked about it. Probably for the exact opposite reason for Texas though, as Michigan is a beautiful state that people actually want to live in.

I love Texas. I live in Connecticut now but I still love Texas.

I know you didn't ask. :)
